Releases

Stable release builds for Windows 10/11 x64 — Windows only, there is no macOS or Linux build. Grab the portable zip: extract and run, no .NET runtime needed. EveDeck flags new versions and links back here; extract the new zip over the old folder to update.

EveDeck v1.55.0

Latest

What's new

  • Changed the portable download to a plain zip archive, with EveDeck.exe at the top level instead of inside a Velopack layout.
  • Removed in-place self-update from the portable build; EveDeck still reports new releases and now opens the download page instead of applying the update itself.
  • Removed the bundled Velopack updater components, which were the only files in the portable download that antivirus engines flagged; EveDeck's own executable scans clean on every engine.
  • Removed compatibility with the previous portable layout: installs from v1.54.4 or earlier cannot update in place and should be replaced with a fresh extraction of the new zip, deleting the old Update.exe file and current folder.
  • Added a VirusTotal scan of EveDeck.exe itself to every release, alongside the existing scans of the portable and installer downloads.
  • Changed update links to be restricted to http and https addresses.

The installer adds a Start Menu shortcut and uninstaller and doesn't need admin rights; the zip is portable — just extract and run EveDeck.exe. Windows may show a SmartScreen prompt on first launch — click More info → Run anyway. To suppress it permanently: right-click EveDeck.exe → Properties → Unblock → OK.

EveDeck v1.54.4

Older

What's new

  • Added a Windows installer as a download option again, alongside the portable zip and the Microsoft Store.
  • The installer adds a Start Menu shortcut and an uninstaller and needs no admin rights; it does not self-update, so installer users re-download to update, while the portable and Store builds continue to update in place.

Compiled from public source in GitHub Actions — nothing hidden between commit and download. The flag is almost always one trigger-happy engine, usually Sangfor's generic Trojan.Win32.Save.a — a verdict it hands out to a huge share of legitimate unsigned software — while Microsoft Defender and the other 60+ engines see nothing. It's a machine-learning guess, not a signature match, on the exact profile those models over-flag: an unsigned, freshly-built, self-contained EXE. Open the report above to see which engine flagged it. EveDeck is open source — read the code or build it yourself if you want certainty; running it is at your own risk either way.

EveDeck v1.54.3

Older

What's new

  • Fixed live previews faulting and dropping back to DWM thumbnails when a log message was written from a capture thread.
  • Fixed the app closing when applying a layout or launching a group raised an unhandled error.
  • Fixed applying a layout becoming unavailable for the rest of a session after an apply failed partway through.
  • Fixed restoring a settings backup writing the file non-atomically, which could truncate settings if the restore was interrupted.
  • Fixed the Microsoft Store package including debug symbols, which added build-machine paths to logged stack traces.
  • Changed the bundled label font to Michroma, under the SIL Open Font License.
  • Changed the splash screen background to original artwork.
  • Changed settings saving to allocate less memory on the UI thread.
